- If the skip is to be placed on the road, a skip permit will be required from the Council, which Skelmersdale Skip Hire Ltd will arrange. There is an additional cost for a permit, which is payable on booking.
- Skelmersdale Skip Hire Ltd will NOT be held responsible for any damage caused whilst delivering, exchanging or collecting a skip, this is at the home owners own risk.
- Once delivered the skip must NOT be moved. The driver will put the skip in a place where it can be successfully picked up from. If the skip is moved, full responsibility and liability will be with the hirer.
- If the hirer requires the skip to be delivered in a specific location, it is down to them to either be present at delivery or provide clear instructions as to the placement of the skip. Once delivered if the skip requires moving an additional cost will be incurred.
- The skip must be loaded level with the sides, not heaped. Any overloaded skips will not be collected and a wasted journey cost will be incurred.
- No fires in the skip are allowed.
- The following materials are NOT allowed to be placed in the skip , unless prior approval has been granted by the office (this may be subject to an additional fee):
- Fridges/freezers
- Tyres
- Paint/liquids
- Food Waste
- Asbestos
- Plasterboard
- Fluorescent tubes
- Carpet/carpet tiles/flooring waste
- Ceiling tiles
- Roofing felt
